 Summertime at The Colony
The Farmer's Daughter first opened in the summer of 1992. My mom started in the smallest barn
on the farm and her shop has expanded into two additional barns. Through
years of hard work and a love of the country life, The Farmer's Daughter
has become a favorite destination for those who desire the warmth and
charm of a country home.
For many years, my mom and I had shared the
dream of opening a shop in Minocqua, Wisconsin. In 1999, we made the
decision to open a sister store in Minocqua and named it The
13th Colony. Both shops specialize in the simple and
comforting looks of American Country.
