The Farmers Daughter ~ A part of history, forever in our hearts.

Our sister store, The Farmer's Daughter, located in Crete Illinois has closed it's doors for the final time. Without my mom and The Farmer's Daughter we would not have The 13th Colony. It is with love in my heart that I thank my mom and all the staff at The Farmer's Daughter for their hard work, many talents and their courage to dream the impossible. The Farmer's Daughter will live on in our hearts and memories forever.
God Bless you all - I love you!

The Farmer's Daughter opened it's doors in 1991. The original shop opened in The Smoke House and over the years it grew to a total of 3 barns.

Having The Farmer's Daughter on the family farm has been a real blessing. My mom was able to care for her father in his final years and bring much life back to the farm. The farm continues to be the heart of our family. I am blessed to be a loving member of the Gaines family, as are my children and one day even my grandchildren.

This building was the "Sugar House," which was a favorite of many children! Grandma spoiled many of her grandchildren in the Sugar House!
The Sugar House was filled with old fashioned candy and many country gifts and accessories.

Fairview Farm is a historic farm dating back to 1836. The farm was settled by the Gaines family and continues to be a working farm.
